Today I had a very interesting experience, which I'd like to share.

I was going to thepost office, to pick up something from the U.K. I usually go by car, but today, I got the idea that I could walk instead, and take some pictures with my OM-2and Zuiko 85/2 that I received about a week ago. On my way I was passing by an old small library building. Outside the building there was all kind of scrap - chairs, tables, cupboards ona pile. And in the middle of that there were some boxes with photo stuff! Developing tanks and trays, an enlarger (Meopta Maxnifax), old light meters (Leningrad, Sverdlovsk), old flashguns with weird bulbs... WOW. I felt like I was meant to find it. If I hadn't walked to the post office, I wouldn't have found it.

Also, there was quite a large box full of framed slides in projector magazines. Maybe 50+ magazines of 25 slides each. Photos from holidays: Greece, Bulgaria... from the 70's. Even some black and white MF and 35mm.
Upon first look quite good pictures, taken by a photographer, not a snap-shooter.

I think it used to be a photo club, but someone bought the building, and was getting rid of all the unnecessary stuff. I think initially there might have been even some cameras, but those were long gone when I found this treasure :(

PS: anyone looking for a "parts" condition Pancolar in Exakta mount ?

PS2: Has anyone else found something like this ? Or has anyone been given lotsof equipment like this ?

I never saw a pile of junk that I didn't take a closer look at. What a nice find. Sort through it and give us an inventory.

I found what appeared to be a brand new 12585 lens hood for a 50mm Summicron a number of years ago. Last year I found a neatly folded up $100 bill on the parking lot at Walgreens. And of course the usual assortment of small change.
