Four from the MM with a Skink pinhole lens. - John
Thank you, everyone. Much appreciated.
mfogiel, yes, handheld at 1/15. The Skink is 24mm at f/110. I set the slowest shutter I can manage, crank up exposure compensation, and then adjust exposure using ISO and the histogram. These were at 2500.
BTW, if anyone knows a regular M-mount lens that will get close to this look, I'd appreciate hearing about it. A faster shutter would be nice.
Very nice, Godfrey. Lovely tones and texture. I'll definitely order one of those.
BTW, I posed a question in another pinhole thread about a lens cap for the Skink to reduce dust ingress. I've since found that the rear cap of a Sigma E-mount lens snaps on perfectly.
So you are using a $7.5k camera to make pinhole photos? Are you sure you don't need a Hasselblad with more pixels? 😀 ...
Um, one printed set (11 prints) of my Leica M9 pinhole photos netted $3200. Two more sales like that, and it will have paid the cost of the body.
Can't complain about that. 🙂

Gee, that's pretty motivating. Congrats.
Thanks!
Yes, it was a fabulous thing. He called me up after seeing a couple on line and hunting me down. We spent a lot of time picking just the right set, and I then made several different prints to find the right balance of sizing, tone, and color. Once the prints were finished, he had a framer do them right, decorated his condo with them, and held a reception to show them off.
A lot of work, but worth it. I look forward to having the time to do more Photography like that again.
