FP4 developing dilemma: exposed half at ISO 125 and half at 400

I've accidentally exposed the first half a roll of FP4 at box speed (ISO125) and the second half at ISO400.

I can't remember what's on the first half, but there's some pictures on the second half I know I want.

If over-development would ruin the negs exposed at 125, I'll cut the film in half in a dark bag, and develop each strip separately.

My question is, if I develop for ISO400, what effect will the 2 stops of overdevelopment have on the first half of the roll exposed at 125?

I'm using XTOL.

develop for 200 ISO?
if the wasn't too contrasty, and your exposure was good, you shoud be ok.

one photographers' ruined film is another's art, or still-good-enough roll.
You have experience - FP4+ is not very critical as a roll of color slides would be - do you think you would end up with a ruined half?
If yes, cut it in two.

XTOL...
If it would be more versatile developer like HC-110, I would recommend to try more dilution, long developing. But XTOL 3:1 maybe.
Are you printing or scanning? If scanning some scanners are very good at it.
Epsons V-series are very good for scanning of weak bw negs.
It also depends on the light. If it is good light, I noticed it doesn't affect as much as under not enough light.

That is what I would do. And I think XTOL is a good choice. It gives about a 2/3 stop increase in shadow speed. So If you develop for 200, the extra shadow speed should help make up for the underexposure at 400, without badly overdeveloping the first half, which apparently less important anyway.
