Hi guys, I just received my 'new' M6 with a 35 lens. I am reading an online manual and it seems that when I change lens the frame will automatically be selected.

I put in my Nokton 50 1.5, the frame lever turns to the centre position which is right according to the manual, but the frame line within the viewfinder doesn't change. When I turned the lever manually, nothing really happens...

the frame line appears to be the one similar to the 28mm (widest position) comparing with the one on the user manual, doesn't matter whether i put on a 35 or 50 lens...

Is there any trick to this? or is there something wrong with my M6??

thanks in advance for any advice!

Sounds as if it is a little "sticky". Take the lens off and start working the preview lever back and forth, checking occasionally to see if the framelines are changing. Sometimes you can free it up enough to wait for the next scheduled CLA.

Do you see the frame lines changing with (or without) the lens on by moving the lever manually? If they are moving, I have to assume the camera is operating correctly.

It may be the LTM adapter mount(s). I have one the cheapie-nasty 3rd party LTM to M adapter for my CV 35mm f1.7 which does the same on my M8, but works perfectly on my M6 ttl.

I find if I mount the lens by turning it clockwise (like any normal lens) until it seems locked into place the incorrect frame lines are showing. However, if I the turn the lens counter clockwise until I hear the click of the safety lock. This seems to bring up the correct frame lines everytime.
