Frances update

Thank God that you took bronchitis seriously, got her into the hospital, and thus rendered it trivial. That's a happy outcome, and a lesson to be learned. We went through several "24-hr Tummy-bugs" with Nikki that ended up being 3 days on IV's. We learned that these things can get complicated very quickly.

People these days need to toughen up. There's nothing that a mustard-plaster, a stiff dose of laudanum and a half bottle of brandy won't cure.

Dear Brian,

Exactly. She's still on IV (4 days - sorry to trump you) but off the oxygen. Prognosis: out 'in the middle of the week', e.g. possibly Wednesday but probably Thursday. Not just complicated but nasty -- unless, as you say, you take the right action (as much luck as judgement!) to render such things trivial.

See 'Photographic composition' for a light-hearted reaction to some of it.

And (as ever) thanks to everyone else. The response has been heartwarming. Perhaps the internet ain't so bad after all.

Love to all (thanks Novum for using the word too),

Roger

All the best thoughts, prayers, love, and wishes to you and your wife. I know I'm not the only one here that thinks of you first as "Roger and Frances" before anything else.

Very happy she is better, tell her that I still have her article on 'pushing' film. I don't think I will ever use it, but it was well written, so well written that I almost was tempted to try it. Please feel better Frances.

Ahhh...vertical is good!😉

Frances, it looks like you are feeling better! Just take it easy as I know too many people, including my wife, who tried to rush it and do too much too soon. It takes a long time to recover from this sort of thing but you are on the mend!

See? Easter prayers and wishes do work....🙂

best as always from the both of us,

WOW! To be remembered in so many peoples' thoughts and prayers. It really is very humbling. It is also very heart-warming. I am very glad to be home. I arrived in the middle of the afternoon.

We have now had dinner (cooked by Roger and Aditi) and now I'm off to get some rest.

Thanks so much for all your good wishes.

Cheers,
Frances
