I was lucky enough to come across what appears to be an unused Franka Rolfix in the original box with an external rangefinder that can be attached. It appears to be in pristine condition. I bought it for $35 from an antique shop. I was wondering if many of you have had experience with Franka 120 folders? Thanks!

Congratulations on getting this camera. The pictures from mine are contrasty and sharp. I have posted results at my G+ gallery.

It is particularly easy to load 120 film in these. It has a light duty aspect that makes me like it in the same way as my Yashica Electro 35.

I will retain the original take-up spool. Thanks for the suggestion. I look forward to using it.

I just came across this slightly older thread while looking for more Franka camera info after picking up a Solida III (120 6x6 folder) several weeks ago and being blown away by how much I've been enjoying it, not to mention the results have been far and beyond what I was expecting from the tiny Radionar triplet. Can't believe there isn't more love out there for these cameras. I also have a war-era Nettar that is great, but I genuinely love the Franka after only weeks of using it.

Also, I've lurked here for years and can't even remember if I've ever posted (as I've really not had much RF experience until the past year - though that is changing rapidly) so I guess I'll see if I have or not when I finish typing this. :D

Anyhow - love to see more work by folks using these basic Bavarian wonders.
