The lots I purchased have suddenly reappeared on eBay site. No explanation from ebay. Tamarkin is now shown as 0 feedback, new user, but I believe they have run auctions in the past.
Strange, but I will soon be in possession of some new toys 🙂
Glad it seems to have worked its way out.

Maybe try contacting Tamarkin directly and seeing what their explanation is? Either their account has been hijacked or they themselves are guilty of something nefarious. Sounds most curious.

Maybe it has something to do with the 20% commission Tamarkin was going to charge the buyers. I don't think eBay's rules allow that. 😕

1. COMMISSION

INTERNET BUYERS WILL PAY TO TAMARKIN A COMMISSION OF TWENTY PER CENT (20%) OF BUYER'S WINNING BID PRICE. THIS COMMISSION IS PAYABLE IN ADDITION TO THE WINNING BID PRICE.

I have seen other auctions which commissions. My guess would be that Tamarkin did screw something up. They are a reputable dealer, I bet they did not intentionally attempt to defraud anyone. Just a guess.

eBay live auction

eBay live auction

All this is, of course, happening on a weekend. The auction was yesterday, message received today. I think the commission may be an issue, if it is true that there is a difference in the percentage as mentioned above.
I'll wait to see what I get for an answer from the auction house..

If you go in through My Ebay, is the auction still listed? If not then the message is as legit as ebay... in other words sort of. I have a friend who was kicked of ebay because his name was similar to another person, and he was declared removed for fraud. Did he ever even try and sell something? No. Hell, he had like five purchases. So, if you still want the item, call them, at Tamarkin (a well known company), and ask to complete the auction. Make sure you can get through via the main line they list on the site though, for your protection.
