I googled Film Freezer and didn't come up with anything page one. Just curious if there is such a thing as a film freezer--non commercial. Take a look at this site if you haven't already.

Anyway, SOMEONE wants me to clear my film out of the freezer. I just bought 100 rolls of Arista Premium and 50 rolls of 120 Acros 100! Before that I was already taking up 1/3 of the freezer!

A freezer is a freezer. Go to Home Depot or your favorite appliance store and get one. The manufacturers don't care if you want to store film or pork chops.

Just get a small half-height, or counter-height, refrigerator and place it where convenient. If there's no place for it, get a little counter-top size refrigerator or freezer. That will fit anyplace. Neither is expensive.

Note: SOMEONE will want to borrow a little space in it from time to time.

I am in the same boat. I now have all of the door, one full shelf and one drawer full of film. My GF is sort of unhappy about it. I looked at Costco and a decent small upright was about $250.

To save money get gallon jugs of water, freeze them and leave them in there. A full freezer uses less electricity ... unless it is full of film 🙂

I picked up an older, full size freezer in craigslist for $60 or so. Probably an electricity hog, but it's got a great deal of film in I now. And I have a happier spouse as I'm not using our indoor refrigerator/freezer any more.

My film shares space with lobster tails, abalone, rock scallops, and biological samples in a large freezer in my garage. They coexist inside without problem.

On the freezer door some Legacy Pro 100, TMax 100 and 3200, Efke 25 and Pan F. A beaker of Perceptol being chilled for souping.

On the self a box of Dunhill pre-Castro Cubans ... Churchills (nine out of the original 10 still there anyway).
