I saw a Canon 28/2.8 on ebay and just couldn't help myself. The seller disclosed the glass had a faint ring on the front element which did not seem to be a big issue. I ended up winning the big and just got the lens today. To my surprise the focus ring is stuck, frozen solid. After a few twists and turns I just couldn't get the ring to turn and decided not to apply any more force.
The focus is set between 10ft and 15ft. Aperture rings turn but feel a bit dry. Now, does anybody have any suggestions to free up the focus?

I can look at it, if you want to, Darren. Have cleaned one before.

Congratulations, I think. I watched that one go by. That's not right for it to be frozen like that. Let us know how it turns out. Good Luck. Joe
