Both bought new from Stephen Gandy (CameraQuest) last Spring. Each has had approximately 10 rolls run through it. Both work perfectly and have wonderful glass.
They come complete, lens caps, original boxes for both bodies and lenses, and the Bessa R includes a Gordy camera strap. Why am I selling them? I have morphed from street shooting to bird and wildlife photography.

Bessa R with 35/2.5 Color Skopar is $350.

Bessa L with 25/4 Snapshot Skopar is $225.

Cosmetically both bodies and lenses are in very good shape.

Can't help with the sales side, just curious why you've decided to sell. My memory was that you were fairly happy with the R especially.

Given the landscape down there, I'd love a chance to get back to the copper mine with a R and a 35/2.5... 😀 Or the mountains on the far side of Ft. Huachuca (sp? It's been awhile 🙂 )

William, you got the spelling right. Ft. Huachuca, almost as bad as Chiricahua Mountains.
And yes, the Bessa R is one of the finest cameras I've yet owned. So is the Bessa L, and both lenses can't be beat. But I had to make some hard financial decisions because long lenses cost long money, and in wildlife and bird work long lenses are an obvious must. I'm also doing a series on territorial ranch houses in Southeastern Arizona, and the Bessas would do well there, except the client wants digital only.

I don't understand why pros using Leica RF's don't leave their pricey bodies home and screw those great lenses onto Bessas. The bright viewfinder and very accurate metering system in the Bessa R are a real treat.

Forgot to mention I also have the LH-1 lens hood for the 25/4 which comes with the Bessa L. Also forgot to state that these prices do not include shipping or insurance. I would send priority mail unless otherwise instructed.

Bessa L & 25/4 sold to GBB (Gabriel).

Just poor, lonely, Bessa R is left.

Man oh man, If you were selling the R in late January I would snap it up right now, but alas Christmas gift spend has depleted my bank account and I won't have the cash for gas for four to six weeks.... rats! Some one will end up with a beauty for a great price....

You are right, Johnny. Someone did end up with it. The bessa L went to Israel, the R went to California. And Jan Normandale bought my Kiev 4AM - which I wasn't even thinking about selling, but my aging eyes couldn't see through it very well - and it went, of course, to Ontario, as in Canada.

I've sold so many cameras I'm probably going to end up with some sort of GAS attack in a few weeks. Oh, no! The dark side? Not that..... I'll have to go to work again! Curses...
