Does anyone know anything about the FSF files on the Epson Raw Converter. I noticed when I click film it allows me to load these types of files. My guess is that you can get some that mimic film?

These .FSF files are just stored settings from the adjustments in the Film tab: Saturation, Tint, Noise Reduction, Contrast, Edge Enhancement, and (if you have selected the black & white option) a monochrome filter.

The idea is that if you have a particular set of adjustments that you like for a particular type of picture, you can store them in one of these FSF files (by clicking the 'Save' button) and then load them later for re-use by clicking the 'Load' button.

This feature would be more useful if the FSF files also stored special settings you made on the other tabs, such as tone adjustment and vignetting correction... but it doesn't, only the six adjustments on the left side of the Film tab.

In the Basic tab I have 1 setting saved (.ksf) for a special grey point I sometimes.

In the Film tab I have a whole bunch of settings saved (.fsf) for the different filters and B&W, a vivid setting and a setting I use for my IR photos.

In the Special tab I have a few settings saved (.sef) to set vignetting compensation or to set levels.

I use the Film tab settings often. The rest gets used only once in a very long while.
