I’ve got a weird 2 lens setup. 35 f2 and 50 f2. The X100F is my third lens. Anything wider or longer is a zoom and rarely used. Would love to see a 70mm fuji f2 WR come out too.
I second Willie's second here- the OVF is an important factor for me too in why lenses need to be compact. Given that Fuji have made the OVF a feature of the X Pro 2, it is important they continue to consider that feature in designing at least some of their new lens offerings.
Those little fuji-"crons" are sweet but lack the special look of the original 1.4/35 and f1.4/23.
I still have one fuji combo the xe1/27mm.... I kept these for carry ability.
Still,... I kick myself for not keeping the f1.4/35mm instead.
It's still THE reason to buy into the fuji-verse.
yeah, i'm leaning with the 23/50 too but i keep gravitating to the 50mm FOV hence why I have my eyes on the 35mm 1.4 as well.
40mm is a little odd FOV for myself, tried liking the 27mm on the X-T2 but found it challenging to use as it wasn't wide or long enough for my need.
Giving this FOV another try on the A7 with the Voigtlander 40mm 1.4 though, will see how this goes and maybe I'll get another 27mm later on.
I find the 27mm is great as a one size fits all lens, and would pair it either with an 18mm or the 60mm macro (versatile as macro and telephoto), depending on whether I will be in tight urban and indoor spaces or want potential vistas. I have a 14mm on the way which I expect will replace the 18mm, together with the 27mm, and a super light walkaround pair.
