Two months ago I received a new 14/2.8. I had already downloaded the latest firmware in case it wasn't current. I slapped it on my X-Pro1 and turned it on to see what firmware version it had. It showed 0.00!
Then I turned on the camera, or attempted to, in the regular way. Nothing.
So it was impossible to upgrade the lens and impossible to even use the camera with that lens attached. Maybe the contacts were screwed up? Who knows? I returned the lens and reconsidered my Fuji position. It was only one instance but confidence is a strange thing once let down.

Eh - he only posts a couple times a year. Not noted for a lot of responses.
I know he had an X100s, I don't know what other bodies he may have, or which one/s are giving him issues.
