Kind of amused to read that people tweak the in-camera settings and use RAW.
That's no use then, the RAWs are straight off the sensor and anything you think you see changed is just the JPEG rendering in the EVF and back screen, when you import into software it all gets discarded. So changing from anything but standard settings makes your viewfinder image look good, while the actual RAW might have different lighting balance etc.
My camera is set to the Provia film type, 'standard'. No changes in saturation, sharpness etc. Dynamic Range set to 100. In Lightroom I have created a profile that gets the RAW file closer to the JPEG rendering, it is applied during import.
I've created a second in-camera preset with setting for digital video. This works good for me.
Lightroom does give you the choice of using the film simulations with the Raw file, if you wish. Saturation, sharpness, etc., you have to apply in the software.

After using the Astia film simulation almost exclusively for the past couple of years I’ve recently started using the Classic Chrome film simulation on inanimate objects. It tried Classic chrome on people and I don’t like the results. Unless the main subject is say a car and there happens to be a person in it, then C-Chrome is ok (example to follow).
First C-Chrome on inanimate objects. (Fujifilm X-pro3 , Fujinon 50mm f2 lens)
Now C-Chrome on a car and driver, where the car is the main subject.(Fujifilm GFX 50R, Fujinon GF 63mm f2.8 R WR lens)
Yokohama, Japan - January, 2021

The Eterna film simulation is from my understanding a cinema film simulation best suited for video. But, I read that it also gives good results for stills so I gave it a shot and I'm pleased with the results. Here are a few images I made with the Eterna simulation.

Fuji jpeg color profiles together with the amount of in-camera flexibility in recent cameras can give great results.
Since I have an older X-Pro1 with less than ideal jpeg colors I needed something more. Fortunately since I use LR to catalogue my pictures, I have a profile that much improves colors applied upon import. Almost no time spent post-processing and even allows me to use color profiles such as classic negative.
