I just received 10 packs of Fuji 3000b from BH photo in New york. I live in Canada. Will the xrays hurt the film? The 10 boxes were packed in a big box. I never thought to ask BH photo but will call them tomorrow. I could try a pack but unfortunetley I have 6 frames of colour film in my camera. Thanks

Yes! I work with X-ray imaging and with 3000 speed film it's almost certain. It takes only a tiny exposure to X-rays to fog film of that speed.

Thanks for the reply. Now I am confused. Is the film made in Japan? Don't they ship it to the U.S. Also Bh photo must ship this film all over the world don't they? And when My local camera store imports it does it get xrayed? Has any one internationally bought this film? I would hope that BH photo wouldn't ship it if this were a problem. Thanks

Are you sure you aren't looking to fix something that's not broken? How do you know it was x-rayed? Unless you know for sure it was x-rayed, I would not worry.

Some items can be marked DO NOT XRAY. I was in the PO this year and saw several packages marked. They contained animal embryos. Some items just can't be xrayed as you know. Contact b&h.

Pablito, that is a good point, I assumed all packages get xrayed but probably only the suspicious ones do I guess. I never really thought about it. I should just take some pictures and than I will get my answer. Also I will call BH photo tomorow
