As many people have commented, the manual of this camera is not very clear and I am struggling to understand how you need to set it to have the data of the exposure printed on the negative. I thought it was enough to set date and time and it will be printed automatically, but after I put the first 2 rolls through it I realized it is not, as nothing got printed. Does anybody know how you do it?
Thanks

Unless the camera displays "-- -- --" on the rear display, you probably aren't looking at the right spot - data are not printed into the negative itself but into the margin!
If there is nothing in the margin (and the camera is set to "-- -- --", i.e. none), push the DATA button on the rear and select a imprint format with the thumb wheel (the choice being between none, date, time, exposure data and combined exposure/date).

Got it. I actually had something in the margin, but only the date, not the data. I now set it to date AND data, which in the LCD blink now alternatively. It should be printing all now.
Thanks a lot!

I second the thanks! I've had the same problem after looking at the first roll i developed from my new-to-me GA645zi. It will be interesting to look at the margins of the next roll. In places the manual really leaves you scratching your head. GF

The imprints are tiny, and I need my best reading glasses to see them. They are also sometimes obscured by the manufacturer's markings on the film margin. However I find both the data and exposure markings useful.
