So, I finally have the money together to purchase a GFX 50r, fuji still lists it was a $1000 rebate too, but every place local doesn't have them in stock and every place online has them listed as "Backorder".
Was the Fuji GFX 50r discounted but never announced?

No, it is actually just really popular and Covid-19 has made keeping it in stock harder. It sells in twice the volume of the GFX-50S. I would just back-order it and lock in the discount.

You have nice equipment... life’s pretty good for you! I have the opposite problem. I have the $ for one, but it costs twice as much in Chile. By the time I get to the US again due to Covid, it’ll probably be onto the next model at an increased price.

i'm not really complaining...i could be much worse off as far as gear is concerned...i'm thinking of taking some stuff down to the local shop and putting it up for a trade towards the x100v...
if i can ever be of help getting gear to you from canada just say the word.
Thank you for that, I appreciate it. The problem is the taxes and shipping. It kills any good deal from the US or Canada.
