Hi all,
I just purchased a GS645 last week in beautiful condition. The test roll came out great, focusing and metering were accurate, but after I loaded the second roll, the rangefinder patch no longer moves when focusing (patch is stuck at around 1m) Is there a quick fix for this, and if not, where is the best place (preferably in NYC) to take the camera?
thanks!

I ended up taking the camera to Nippon Photo Clinic, and they told me they couldn't fix it. But, when I got home, it seemed to be in worse shape then when I took it to them.. They said the bellows had leaks, but the obviously did not test with a flashlight, as I have found no holes. And something in the finder is now loose and making noise. Anyone know of the best place to send it out for repair in the US?

I had one of these that the semi silvered mirror came unglued. I ended up fixing it myself. The top cover is easy to take off it you have the right size screw drivers. This should at least give you a chance to see what's going on in there. Watch out for the hot shoe wires when you take the cover off. They are very thin and delicate. It's a bummer to have an RF issue then ALSO suddenly need to solder tiny wires. Don't ask me how I know his.
