Fuji gsw690III purchase advice, please

I just bought a mint-y GSW690III from RFF for $595 with a shutter count of 40. I decided the increase in price was worth the low mileage, but I would agree with the previous comments stating a decent mileage version can be found on eBay in the $400 range from a reputable seller.
If you're not in a rush, I'm sure you'll find another GSW690 I, II or III on RFF. When I made the choice to buy one, there were 2 or 3 floating around here, you may find another. :)
Cheers!

Well I did get one - a GSW690III that looks to be in very good (not perfect) condition from the pictures. Seller says it has 105 on the counter, and works 100%; it should just what I was looking for. Cost me $425 shipped.

I'll post when it arrives.

That's a great price. Considering it is the GSW and mk III.

I think that the problem with metrics and all is that it gets us obsessed over it. Sure there is the 5000 actuation recommendation.
But how many other classic cameras don't have this and people don't worry at all about the actuations?

Check the VF for haze and the lens for fungus.

I had to return two 'mint condition' ones back to the sellers in Japan because of that. Even though their listings claimed fungus free.

I eventually found a good one in the US.

I will check it out, Huss. But this one is from the US, so I am hopeful!

Opening the top to clean the VF is not hard :)

I'll keep that in mind, if it needs it.

Something else I was thinking may need tweaking is the RF (I have had to adjust almost every RF camera I have had - except, oddly, the Mamya &II). Does anyone have a link to instructionsto do so?

Thx

Update - the camera arrived today, thanks to very fast shipping by the seller. It looks very nice, with a scratch here and there, but nothing but the usual wear. Looks like the glass, VF and RF are nice and clear with no noticeable haze or fungus. The seller loaded a fresh roll of Rollei IR for me, so I took a few shots and all seemed well.

The only confirmed problems are that the plastic wind lever is worn and slips to expose the metal tab underneath - this must be from winding it too hard after it reached the stop. It works fine if I apply a little downward pressure on the lever while cranking. If I can get the ring off I should be able to reinforce it easily. Also, the ultra suede fuji case has a stiff zipper!

I'll try to post a pic or two when I can.
