Hey all, I've got the first GW690 Fuji made and I've been using flash at nighttime. I've had some problems with the PC to flash cord not responding when I plug the cord into the lens. Sometimes I have to wrap the cord around the lens to give it some pressure and it works fine, but when I plug it in and it hangs free without any pressure on it, the flash doesn't respond to the shutter click. Is this a normal issue or should I have it checked out?

It sounds like the PC cord isn't making good contact inside the lens. That could be corrosion on the cord connection, or inside the lens. A commercial contact cleaner or vinegar should clean whichever contact is dirty/corroded. Be careful with the lens PC connection when cleaning it so that you don't damage the internals of the lens. You might prefer to have it done commercially. Have you tested the cord with any other lens or camera?

I've tested it with a brand new cord and it did the same thing. I suppose its the pc connection in the lens. Yesterday I was able to unscrew the pc terminal from the lens and soaked it in vinegar for a few hours. Hopefully this will make some difference. I haven't tested it out yet though since I've got film in the camera.
