Another good point!<snip>
Fuji also puts lens specific correction information into their lenses ... <snip>

Could you elaborate on properly shimmed? How can it matter if you focus via live view?
Do you mean shimmed for infinity to to align the focus scale?
Just curious. I use a Hawks close focus adapter and it seems just fine for the CV1.5/50mm for the few times I use it.
Thanks for the reply![]()
Yep. Starting with a cheap X>LTM adapter, I simply use brass shims (washers, really) to make infinity equal infinity on the scale of the LTM Nokton. The adapter was about .015" off as I recall. Thinking of trying my hand at "fixing" an official Fuji M adapter....
It's nice to know the scale is accurate, but you're right, of course, it doesn't make much difference unless you scale focus. It just makes me.... um... feel better?
I use a Micro-Nikkor 55/3.5 for close-up work.

errm. I have been told by a few different Fujifilm reps that it's a Sony sensor.
At least one teardown on the web reported that the XTRANS pinouts and other features of the chip are identical to contemporaneous Sony sensors.
