An f2 zoom lens? Typo?

I guess it can start from F2 on the wide side, but I'm sure it's not F2 through out the zoom range.

The smaller the image circle has to be, the easier it is to make a faster lens (generally). An f/2 zoom lens for a sensor smaller than M4/3s isn't that hard to produce.

It seems to work on the Pany LX-5.
Nope...thats a variable aperture zoom.

Still variable and not fixed.
4x manual zoom? So, does this mean it'll be like the Contax T vs where you can actually mechanically zoom?

I hope, instead of mechanical zoom, they'll do mechanical MF on X line of cameras. Mechanical, not servo-based MF with even a simple focus confirmation dot will make me love X100 a lot more.

Not sure about the manual focus thing, but here is the latest un-official news:

I've read that X-50 has been dropped from the lexicon, and also that X-50 will be the European version. Guess we'll find out on Thursday.

Well - the news is all official now, and it does look tasty. I certainly want one, but I won't jump in early like I did with the X100

It will be interesting to see if the viewfinder is good. I've lost a bit of confidence with my X100 because of some flaky exposures, and one thing I do now is set image review in the viewfinder so I can see that it's not wildly off (I guess it's secret chimping). Obviously that can't be done with the X10.
EDIT: I now find that I have the dreaded overexposure fault with my X100 so that's going back to Fuji.
I also checked the X10 brochure and I see that you ned to buy the adapter/hood combo in order to use filters on this one - just like the X100
