Here is a one-shot high ISO test of my new Fuji X100. The exposure was made at f/2 and ISO 3200. The first image is the full frame. The second is a 100% crop from the center, and the last is a 100% crop from the upper left corner.

What is real ISO?

What is real ISO?

First, I am a very satisfied x100 owner... I'm not trashing the camera.

The problem is that the stated ISO readings in the X100 are very optimistic. What is calls 3200, is probabaly closer to 2000.

This might be a new record for you Jamie in terms of keeping a camera! You've had this baby at least a month ;)

Thanks for posting, the high iso performance certainly seems to be quite good! I hope you're enjoying the X100!

As good as 3200 is on the X100 when you look really closely it's a little bit smeary IMO.

Still pretty amazing though!

I truly haven't noticed this... even at 100%. Perhaps at f/2, but not at other apertures in my experience.

that corner crop looks a bit terrible... but not too bad for a pancake f2 wide

Really? Seems pretty good to me.

And I just noticed the camera shoots 3:2 not 4:3....im even more tempted now. I hate 4:3 for street stuff. Great for studio but everything else.....
