i think a 50mm is good if you had to just have one...but depends on whether you are a 35mm or 50mm primary shooter or first time in the RF-type world (i know this isnt an rf per se)

I'd get the 60. The X100 (35mm) and the Xpro1 (90mm) would be a nice pair. Similar to when I go out with a XA and Nikon F3 with 105 f2.5

I'm goinig for the 35/1.4, because 90% of my photos when I'm not traveling are with a 50mm on my Leica.
I plan on adding the 18/2 in the near future and eventually use my M lenses for long focal lengths, so I won't be getting the 60.

I want to hear what folks say about the 35 and 50 equivalents. AND the Fuji-to Leica adapter. Very interested to hear about how that works.
Edit: I should say, I am very eager to hear what the Beta testers/early adopters say about this camera. The X100 of course had a similar buzz, followed by much wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth. But things have settled down on the X100 front with those who like how the camera functions, and those whose expectations weren't quite met. I imagine that we will have a similar curve with the X1 Pro [but I'd be lying if I didn't also say, I hope Fuji has learned from the X100 launch and produces a camera with bullet-proof performance right out of the gate].

Do you think Zeiss (or others) will make lenses for this camera like they do for other mounts? I guess only time will tell if it becomes a real success.....

i think as long as people do not expect from the camera what it was not designed to give, as unfortunately was not the case with the x100, then you'll find a whole lot of happiness with this camera! no camera is bullet proof when the audience insists on removing its bulletproof vest!

The 18/2 showed heavy purple fringing in the Romanian review. Hope it's a sensor issue and can be fixed through firmware.

35mm f/1.4, as I am a 50mm kind of guy. I bought a 35mm 'lux when I had a M8, and then resold it when I upgraded to a M9.
Possibly the 60mm macro at some point.

For me it would have to be the 35 1.4. I have the x100 and I think that is a little too wide for my tastes. I use the 50 on the Leica.

My feeling today is I would like the 60mm to pair with an x100 for shooting events.
Won't know for sure until I fondle the damn thing in the store.

if i were to buy this camera (which i probably won't) i would be torn between the 18mm and the 60mm. 18mm because i love wide angles and often use a 28mm lens. 60mm mainly for the macro feature as i have never used a 90mm lens before.
the "lens roadmap" that Fuji released doesnt seem to include any other macro lenses, which to me is a huge disappointment and yet another reason not to buy into this camera system.

well, i'm just so excited by this cam and using my favorite lens, the summicron-c 40/2! oh, wait, what? that will not be a 40mm 'perfect do anyhting' lens, but rather a 60mm 'WTF do i do with that', lens?! humph.
well then, i'll use my second favorite street lens, the cv skopar 25/4! oh, wait, what? it won't be a real wide special angle 25mm but a 'do anything' 35 that can't really 'do anything' because it's F4?! humph.
well, of course i can use my third favorite, elmar-c 90/4 perfect portrait lens! oh, wait, what? its not a perfect portrait 90, but an 'i dont really like it' 135mm?! humph.
maybe i'm not really as excited about this cam as i thought. humph.

The 18 looks a little janky at this point. Not just the PF but the detail and color don't interest me much (yes it's early, perhaps it will be stellar). However, my CLE just arrived and so did my 15 CV-M. Once the M-adapter is released, I'll have that lovely little 15 for both bodies. The real decision will be as the others are released....
