Never seen it that fast before, but I have the older x100, xp1 and xe1. That is the fastest I have ever heard of. Bummer. Was this on the new xt1 ? I have been told in the past that it happens sometimes during the first couple of recharge cycles w/ a new battery.
But I agree w/ everyone, not a very good battery life indicator.

I agree that the X100s files initially look flatter than those from other digital cameras, such as the NEX 6. It does require a bit different post processing, but ultimately the image quality is superior.
A recent shot from my X100s with the WCL-x100 wide angle converter.

Here are my first impressions of the X100s, coming from an X-E1.

Pretty much echoes my opinions of the X100s, except for the image quality, which is why I went back to the X100 after firmware 2.0 came out.
A small, fixed lens, digital camera with an OVF is a tough combo to beat, and I plan on shooting this cameras for a long time.
