The other great (relative) bargain at the moment seems to be M6's both classic and ttl. For a pretty recent camera, you can pick one up showing signs of use for not much more than a user M3 and get the extra framelines and a built in meter.
The M3 is still nicer though, in so many ways.
When it was brought out, reading some contempory reports, there was just no question. It was reckoned far and away the best camera around. And according to at least one source (can't remember exactly where, will look it up) was basically responsible for the Japanese move to SLR's from high quality RF's as they decided they could not really compete with the M3.....
