fulfil brian's dream

The other great (relative) bargain at the moment seems to be M6's both classic and ttl. For a pretty recent camera, you can pick one up showing signs of use for not much more than a user M3 and get the extra framelines and a built in meter.

The M3 is still nicer though, in so many ways.
When it was brought out, reading some contempory reports, there was just no question. It was reckoned far and away the best camera around. And according to at least one source (can't remember exactly where, will look it up) was basically responsible for the Japanese move to SLR's from high quality RF's as they decided they could not really compete with the M3.....

I think a Canon 7 or P is a good choice, if you can pick one up for 200-250, add a couple screw mount lenses then you could have a nice kit for 500-600 bucks. Not a bad idea!

I really like the way Bessa R2 looks like. Which of the Russian M-mount lenses would give the sharpest results on Bessa?

Okay, I just want to come clean and go on record to state that I'd love an M2 or M3 too. There, I've said it. (twice)

Lil, I'm not sure there are any Russian{/i] M-mount lenses.

But there are plenty of LTM-mount lenses, as you're undoubtedly aware, and the general consensus seems to be that the J-8 is the cherry on the pie.

oops, sorry - still learning (may I never stop learning:) )...

I just saw this: Ebay# 3864295550
