Fun morning in HK

Had a layover in HK, on my way to factories in the south of China, and I decided to spend a couple of hours in the morning walking around and exercising the old M4. This ended up being my one and only shooting day during the trip, so I'm glad I took the time to get up early and walk around...despite the ridiculous humidity and me being dressed in business clothes. Note: the first image is actually a grab shot from the night before, upon arrival.

Here are a few of my favorites. All shot through a Skopar 50 2.5 on XP2, scanned on a Coolscan IV.

I was pleased enough with these pictures to want to share them with you folks, but more than anything I was happy for the rare experience of having 2 hours truly to myself to go out and shoot!

Thanks for sharing those froyd. Looks like steamy atmospherics in the shots! I particularly liked the silhouetted man in the street scene, and you've captured the look of HK very well in your series.

Went back last year. Same camera, but loaded with Portra 400 this time. Only, 2h to shoot in between meetings so I mostly revisited old themes without much of a chance for radically new material, plus I was amazed how dead the streets were on an early morning. Seems like the city does not wake up until after 8 AM!
