hey there!
the attached photo shows a detail of my beloved summicron 35, fourth generation.
i'm really concerned about these little dots inside the lens. it looks like they cling to the 2nd element of the lens, dunno.
is this dust or fungus? does this influence the image quality?
thank you guys!

another try: to this day i never noticed a decline of image quality but i'm wondering what could happen to the lens if this turns out to be fungus.
needs the lens to be serviced?

email from solms:
no fungus but a estimate in the amount of ~350 € (focusing needs to be repaired, lens needs to be cleaned) because of a fall damage.
unfortunately the body got damaged too. cost of repair: 550 €.
all in all about 950 €
the weird thing is: there are no signs of an impact on the body - previous owner said noting about a shock whatsoever.
i really don't know what to do now. get the lens in working order for 350€, delivering the body in payment and buy a bessa/mft body? sell both the body and lens and buy a new DSLR? jump out of the window?
what a day..

They want 950 euro to fix something you can't see is wrong? Does it focus right? If it's not fungus and the camera works correctly I see no emergency. Send it to somone else?

You should definitely get a second opinion, that amount they are quoting you seems too high! Get your camera back and get another quote from someone else, you'd probably save a lot.
