Ok i'm not really sure if it's fungus but there's a spot with arms akin to a spider.... on the inside of my 35 DC. Can it be removed DIY or do i need a professional to do it?

Thanks much!

I'd first clean it up with apple vinegar, then expose affected part (lens, most probably) to sunlight, brew cup of coffee and read on fighting fungus.

There are several methods but I can't recommend any as silver bullet.

Here's a link to an article about lens fungus. At the bottom of the article there are people discussing different methods to remove it, but like BTGC says; there's no silver bullet.

It also depends on how much the camera cost and what it's worth to you. You could treat it as a project and just start disassembling it. Not sure where you would start but I'm sure someone here could help. As far as professional help goes, you'd probably be cheaper buying another one.

Good Luck! 🙂
