FYI: Adobe LightRoom V 2.0 officially released

I've only recently started using Lightroom a couple weeks ago and it's such a godsend! My photos rarely go through extensive editing and is mostly reserved to just a bit of levels and curves. I was spending a week or two doing major shoots like weddings and events in Photoshop. Lightroom can really streamline that down to a day or two.

I've been using it since v1.0 beta - it really combines all the good things from Raw Shooter Essentials (whom Adobe bought out) and Camera Raw and makes the initial editing process a breeze imho.

Sure, there's room for Photoshop afterwards, for specific retouching etc. but for the most part, the initial editing process can be done right in Lightroom.

Cheers,
dave

Do you know if it keep all your old presets?
If it does I'm gonna go nab myself a copy.

It does keep all your old presets and your old library organization

So far I like it though I have not done any hardcore batch editing with it yet

The point editing is excellent, a little different than the U-point that Capture NX uses, but still very effective
