Absolutely. One can sit around and hope for something to come along, or you could just get up and "make it so". I myself am more the former, but I heartily applaud anyone who does the latter.
 
I always wanted to see the finished result of the guy over on photo.net, who was making a digital Leica within a M2 body. Then the M8 came out and nothing more was heard of him. Too bad. All that work. "Could've been a contenda."
 
Hi, i see no merrill´s in there...only first series dp´s.

That torture rack they put in front of the camera is a pain to see...

For what i can see, the merrill´s have the shutter inside the lens...that would be a problem...

Anyway is a good idea to have interchangeable lens merrill
