I've been following this, should be interesting...the G systems were not contrast detect; the lens would immediately move to the focus point, and stop. The NEX is contrast detect, so the lens will move in and out until focus point is found. How much time will this take, and perhaps more importantly, how much battery power will it take to drive the motor. Or does the motor have a separate power supply? And...will there be a manual focus option?
