FYI Fuji going to introduce diopter correction lenses

I wonder if they are just rebadging the Cosina diopters. I managed to get a Cosina diopter without too much hassle.

These infamous little things (trying to stay politically correct here 😉 ) had been completely sold out in Europe for 8 weeks. And there wasn't any chance to get alternative, equivalent diopter lenses, neither by Zeiss, nor by Voigtlander, and even the Nikon ones were sold out.

So, it's good that Fuji is finally showing a reaction - they had shot themselves in the foot by not offering these parts as Fuji-branded (and supply-chain managed) items right from the start. Who else is still making cameras that need diopter lenses other than a small group of die-hard companies who hang on to film? And they are just producing for their rather small niche market ...

I don't see how these things are going to solve the problems with the viewfinder - unless you only use the EVF or OVF exclusively.

The two viewfinders are not focused in the same plane. I am slightly far sighted, so the OVF is in fine focus (the overlays are a little blurry), but the EVF is quite out of focus. If I use a diopter that situation will simply be reversed.

Or, why am I wrong in thinking this is a non-fixable design problem? Am I missing something, is my X-Pro different from others, am I the only one whi wants to switch between VFs?
