These infamous little things (trying to stay politically correct here 😉 ) had been completely sold out in Europe for 8 weeks. And there wasn't any chance to get alternative, equivalent diopter lenses, neither by Zeiss, nor by Voigtlander, and even the Nikon ones were sold out.
So, it's good that Fuji is finally showing a reaction - they had shot themselves in the foot by not offering these parts as Fuji-branded (and supply-chain managed) items right from the start. Who else is still making cameras that need diopter lenses other than a small group of die-hard companies who hang on to film? And they are just producing for their rather small niche market ...
