The three new lenses from Zeiss announced during photokina looks like April, 2013...

More third party vendors the better 😀

If only the 24mm f1.8 Sonnar was going to be released for the X mount.

I think that was a special for Sony Nex. Sony may hold some exclusive rights to it for all we know. But I agree it would have been nice. But these three look like they are going to ship for both Nex and x mount at around same time next year.

I wonder if we will soon see some 85mm... Its not on the Fuji roadmap, i was kind of hoping Zeiss would make it.

Do u mean a 85 equiv or 85x1.5?

If 85 equiv, the 60 macro is closest now and the 57 in 2013.

Oops, i was not clear, it want a "real" 85mm, so 85mm x 1.5. I only miss one lens from my Canon gear, and its the 135mm f2.0. It would almost be the same field of view.

I actually suspect it was 85x1.5 but wanted to make sure. Btw 90x1.5 is te 135 equiv. 🙂

Not sure that will ever come w/o a lot of people pushing for it. A possible alternative is go down the adapter approach w/ a 90f2.8 if your application does not require speed, otherwise near future only holds the 80-200 equiv zoom...

I agree with you, I do not think we will see it soon. My lust for a 135mm was reignited last night, when browsing Zeiss website, when I've seen their announcement for their 135mm f2 (slr lens).

I might end up with their 85mm f4 ZM, it seems compact enough. I don't really need a fast lens, as I would use it for landscapes.
