Interesting, a new rumor update from the same site. Focus peaking. There is hope for the xp1/xe1, unless there is an issue w/ CPU horsepower... If the xm1 is using all the same electronics, then CPU will not get hit as hard since no evf.

According to announcement the changed the algo which improves the af speed.

faster af is good...
focus peaking is a surprise...I thought it was more than a firmware fix...

I already signed up for the waiting list on the 27...
 
I was thinking.. For 100 bucks more u get the zoom.. It may not be as good a their other zoom, but it just needs to be better than the Sony and at least equal to Nikon and canon kit zoom..

Even though I am not interested in a xm1, I think they should have a kit price for a 27 and xm1.

But the normal entry camera market expects a kit lens setup like this zoom.

It appears the 16-50 is built for one purpose: to fight Sony and attract buyers into the X system, over the NE X system.

I don't see any enthusiast X shooters picking that one up.

The pancake I'm really looking forward to. A bit more than I thought it would be, but I'd rather pay more and get some Fujinon magic than pay less and get an average lens.
 
great for fuji to keep giving back to its customers. xe-1 and x-pro1 owners can still hang on knowing they have the latest and greatest. can anyone comment on how well the focus peaking was implemented in the x100s?

When I tested it, it worked well...as does the split image...I use focus peaking nearly every day with an old NEX 5, so this is a very welcome update.
