FYI - nice writeup about xt1 and new remote app

Thanks Gary.

Could be a great way of shooting from the hip on the streets while just looking at your phone. So many possibilities using this app, just need my X-T1 to arrive now.

Another writeup but this time from luminous landscape. The author was the guy w/ Chris on the video about the xt1 if I remember correctly.

The one thing he got somewhat wrong was he is not up to speed on what photo sw supports the xtrans sensor while the xt1 is not immediately supported by aperture or capture one or accuraw, etc.. Adobe is not the only one that supports it as he stated.

Anyway he seems to be impressed. He was also not quite correct in terms of how many weather sealed lenses. There is a 18-135 kit lens plus the two f2.8 zooms he mentioned. If I ever get the xt1, I plan to buy it w/ that kit lens.

Can that actually happen...

Can that actually happen...

It may be that the prism is functional, not for viewing, but for space for some of the necessary components of the system.

People disliking the prism hump on the Olympus OM-D bodies are not aware that the hump houses the 5 axis IBIS.....

So aside from the rangefinder "gestalt" as noted, the retro design may not just be that... retro design. It may be purposeful/functional.

Of course, if they needed the space, they could make the "faux" rangefinder body bigger... perhaps a hump out the back and call it the "hunchback", or one end longer.

Personally, I like the SLR look and it certainly seems to be attractive to old (me) SLR users, and some of the newer crowd.

Yep, it's all gotta fit in somewhere. Still, it's a well shaped body unlike IMHO the dog ugly Sony A7.

AccuRaw has had X-T1 support for some weeks now.

interesting to see fuji implementing all of this accessory tech. Let's see what they do with the next x-pro model.
