i recently bought a second, used domke 5xb bag...having decided that they were the (near) perfect bags for my 1 body, 3 lens kits.
i was disappointed to discover that that the strap was shorter than my original 5xb strap and wound up switching the longer strap back and forth between bags, as used.
needless to say that for a lazy sob such as myself this was not a good situation.
so...i ordered a strap off ebay (photocan) along with the very short domke handle and they arrived today.
i am most happy to report that the new strap is actually longer than the original one and the short strap is changed also (from the one on the f6, anyway) to one that has a very stiff tube in the grabbiest part.
i like it.
now i have 2 small bags with long straps and short handles which makes carrying and using them a treat!!

My grubby old Leitz (pre M-Classic) bag has a strap that seems to be twice as short as those of its brethren... Makes you wonder what they're thinking at the factories.
