I skipped over the RX100 because of lens speed (f3.5 at 50mm). But the supposed 40% gain in high ISO performance and flip screen has me interested. Also find the step zoom appealing.

I don't think that I'd bother to upgrade from my RX100 for this feature, but if Sony would like to include it in a firmware update, I'd be very grateful...

i really like the rx100 but $750 for the mark ii is a lot to swallow, even with it's tilt screen and hotshoe.

it's the improved sensor that would be appealing to low light shooters.

true about the sensor. although i find the sensor on the rx100 to be really good in low light as it is, i haven't found it lacking and i shoot in some extremely low light conditions. i guess an even better sensor doesn't hurt though.
