G2 Cable Release

I'm trying to find a remote "Cable Switch L" for my G2. I've checked the usual spots (B&H, Adorama, KEH etc.) w/no luck. Any ideas??? Thanks, Dan

I haven't been able to find one, either. I had thought one needed a specail one designed for the camera so just gave up for a little. Then I started experimenting, and discovered a regular cable release works fine 🙂 No idea what the G2 release does, though.

The trick with KEH, is to look under "Contax", not "Contax G" (sub-category is Releases and Remotes). It looks like they have about 4 of the "L"releases in different lengths. I think you have to use one of these (for the G2 at least) and not a regular style release. The release is effectively an electrical switch, not a mechanical one.
