This basic kit (G2,28/45/90/flash) sold for nearly $2K, are prices of used G2 gear going up?

I think sold high because it is black, and it has filters and hoods and caps etc.

That's a fairly high price even for a black system with accessories - but not overly so. Prices at dealers here in the UK have remained reasonably static over the last year for the G2, with the G1 dropping some. Lower prices were available on ebay - with the usual gamble over risk - but have been higher more recentlly - possibly just due to supply and demand. There are anomalies of course...and I managed to get a good deal on my G2 with 28 and 45mm lenses for 300 quid (around 580 US) - with hoods and caps - early last year. G2 with 45mm are going on ebayUK now for over 300.
Prices for the Contax T3 held - but these are increasingly hard to find, glad I bought mine when I did - as did the Leica CM - and have only seen one of them in a dealer's ad once in the last 6 months...hard to come by too.
