This was an amazing week in the gallery. I am sensory overstimulated to some extent. I think tht the street shooting is really great this week. Nachkebia wowed me with every one of his shots, some already mentioned here. Kbg's self shadow was another sweet addition to the gallery. Sputty had many great documentary shots, also noted above. Formal had some great shots young boy was already mentioned.

This shot also caught my attention, a very nice still by gregg: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=46856&limit=last14

You are all an inspiration. Keep clicking.

Being new, I wasn't sure if just anyone could pitch in here or not...but here goes, you can always delete the post if I'm out of line...

I've had more inspiration from the Gallery in the last few weeks than in years of reading expensive coffee table (sized) books. These ones really caught my eye and imagination - and it's the combination of both that I find so hard to come by in my own photography.

nico

P.S. thanks everybody for the inspiration I daily get from the gallery! 🙂 n.

Thanks to everybody who has looked and commented on my Beijing series. That's all there's going to be, as I only had five days there to shoot, and I've posted most of the stuff that I like. It was a fun project, though, and I hope to do something similar again soon.

Nachkebia - your India stuff is fantastic - inspiring, to say the least. Travel photography is not easy - getting past tourist clichees. I find that I don't generally photograph well in a place that I'm not familiar with - Beijing was a challenge for this reason - and I imagine that you must have faced similar challenges in India. It's tough not to go for the easy shots, but you have challenged yourself consistently, and the viewer too. Well done.

most of my Favs have already been posted but I would like to point out these few more:

Avoitus', the whole series had excellent contrast and subject:

thafred's shot here is one that doesn't come along often and he was quick to notice: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=46613

formal, these two really took a great eye:
