Here are mine:

Perhaps my favorite of the week by taskoni, I find it difficult to explain this one, a simple, moving and significant moment will have to do.

U39285I1312995034.SEQ.0.jpg

Two from petronius: The textures and gradient light make for wonderful tones.

U7524I1313334914.SEQ.0.jpg

Makes me wonder, and love the tones.

U7524I1313079099.SEQ.0.jpg

Also two from Focalplane:

This holds my attention and I wonder how it was created.

B26.jpg

intriguing, was used for this many times, I would have to agree and that I like it.

B27.jpg

EliasK, I like everything about this especially how the glass appears to be floating over the table.

U25305I1312815525.SEQ.0.jpg

StefanJozef, this would look especially nice on a wall, i like the grain and how it looks in the faint rippled reflections of the masts on the water.

U19465I1312836559.SEQ.0.jpg

filmfan, the sharpness and scale of the people lends to the grandeur of the space.

U19407I1313016266.SEQ.0.jpg

photony texas, I always like these double exposures, especially this one.

U25693I1313083969.SEQ.0.jpg

andy_v, a great candid shot in all regards.

My Picks for This Week

My Picks for This Week

This may be a long list since my favorites file is very full this week. I will try to edit it a little.

petronius I have two from petronius this week. First I like the tones and shapes in this shot.
Rollei_35_190_10.jpg

Probably the same comment applies to this shot. I love the dark tonality and the bright diagonal of the drain pipe.
U7524I1313334908.SEQ.0.jpg

robklurfield These two images are so expressive of life and love I just had to pick both of them.

Keith I think this is a great example of Keith's creative exploring of images and the use of very high ISO setting. Wonderful quality of light.
shed_03.jpg

gho I like the colors and the combination of things that make up this excellent near abstract shot.
U27794I1312907975.SEQ.0.jpg

paulfish4570 Paul's minimalist shot of a tile floor with a black and mysterious unknown substance well placed in the frame. OK, I probably over did my description a little.
U35015I1312993545.SEQ.0.jpg

Martini Martini's wonderful cloud has so much depth and dimension to it that I could not resist choosing it as one of myi favorites.
L1065208.jpg

tigerphil I have two from Phil this week. The simplicity and delicacy just seemed to catch my eye.
U34170I1313064861.SEQ.0.jpg

I like the contrasting lines and shapes in this shot and of course Phil always has the soft tonality done so well.

Thanks for the mentions!

petronius - Rollei_35_192_01
U7524I1313334914.SEQ.0.jpg

Fantastically caught ripples.

luiman - strange but true
U28407I1313274428.SEQ.0.jpg

I find this one menacing and funny at the same time. Makes me think of Godzilla.

barnwulf - Trees in Morning Sun 2
Trees_in_the_foothills_1-48150009.jpg

Simply a nice landscape photograph. Especially I like the three trees in the center left.

jordanstarr - Phone Call
U9292I1313140304.SEQ.0.jpg

A bit overlooked. Well seen, well exposed, well composed!

mickbroughton - Salads Wraps and Subs.
U38712I1313098604.SEQ.0.jpg

I like the closeness and the natural expression. I find there is something interesting about the overall atmosphere. Could be a scene in a movie.

Kiev Ilegalac - Wasteland
U45453I1312884277.SEQ.0.jpg

Quite expressive portrait of that habitat.

A Few More

A Few More

Thank you Paul and gho for mentioning my landscapes.

lynnb
I like Lynn's building cubistic reflections.
U27021I1313066993.SEQ.0.jpg

luiman
I had trouble deciding which of Luigi's to include here. He had several really excellent shots this week. I will pick two this week.

U28407I1313085593.SEQ.0.jpg

I love the light in Luigi's "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes" series. In this shot again the light is fantastic and the perspective of this narrow street is so nice. The cat watching is a great addition.
U28407I1313329678.SEQ.0.jpg

Mlehrman
As a old former Ducati rider I had to pick this one. I love the subtle color and the perfect side view.
U3187I1313118119.SEQ.0.jpg

A second shot from Mlehrman
It an excellent capture of the two figures and I like the railing and column in the near center of the frame making a very nicely composed shot. The bird is a wonderful part as well.
U3187I1313268471.SEQ.0.jpg

ChEc
There is always wonderful geometry which is sometimes repeated in Chris's photographs as in this one. I like the tonality as well.
U20537I1313162799.SEQ.0.jpg

Focalplane
Focalplane had several multi image entries this week that were assembled beautifully and very intriguing. I have also picked one that seems to be a single image but equally mysterious.

alistair.o
I have two from Alistar this week. This first one is an intense moment captured with wonder full tonality. I love the dark tones and the moment caught.
Arresting.jpg

The second is also has a dramatic feel probably from the low close-up angle and the dark tones. Great capture of these two figures. Both are exciting images.
