First a group thanks to those who included my photo as their selection among all the very fine shots that show up here each week. while I do use and like Gear, this forum for me is about photos. I learn from them and this thread is the place to do it. Bravo for all this weeks photos.
Here are the ones that I came across for my picks for this week:
print44, I liked this, well exposed and composed, it pulls you into it.
Arjay, not only plenty of shadow detail, for digital it held the highlights nicely. A fine shot beautifully composed with the little girl off to the left, a point I noticed before reading the title.
Jack Conrad, Dark and moody enough to be taken for a film noir shot, nice grain.
atar, great action and timing to add to the incongruity of the scene, well done, especially with the XA.
collum, I like the just poking along kind of feeling about this, reminds me of walking home after school at that age.

Thanks very much to Semrich for choosing my curzon tunnel picture.
Here are my picks for the week -
zauhar - there's an electricity in this image - a real zingy satisfaction. I could put this on my wall.
EliasK - very atmospheric, lovely tones. Transports me to the riverside.
semrich - these night photographs are always impressive and so well exposed and captured.
filmfan - mysterious, voyeuristic
another by semrich - the contrast is irresistible and I love the shadow of the plant
Mlehrman - a great moment captured here.
