Gallery picks for week ending Monday 19 March 2007

Because of time and date zones I make up my list at mid morning my own time every Monday.

I don't think anybody will delete this thread if we post a comment about an image uploaded a day too early or late by somebody elses clock.

gah - I feel computer illiterate. How can I do a gallery search for the past 7 days? When I insert those criteria in the search function, it just pops me back to the main search page.

I don't use search criteria I just click on "Recent Photos 14 days" in main page of the Gallery and then browse from Monday 12 to sunday 18 choosing the photos i like and adding them to "My favourites". Then i open each one from My favourites, copy the url and paste it here under the name of the member and the title of the photo. Anyway, it's easier to do than to be described. ;)

On the "home page" for the gallery, just below the search box(in turn below the recent photo thumbnails) there are some links: "1 day", 7 days", and "14 days". Click on that and you get the respective posts. At least that's how I do it.

Continued strong showings from this list of photographers, I haven’t selected a single shot from many of them because of their multiple gallery submissions which were strong with one or several standouts. I’ve commented in their galleries on the individual images I liked best.

I'm making a vow that this week I will start to put some images in my favourites so that by Monday I can commend even just a few of my favourite images.

I keep missing out on this as I don't often have time to go back on the Monday and sift through the weeks images. Why oh why didn't I use My Favourites before??!!

Yes. Look every day, or twice a day, and put the good stuff into Favorites. By Monday morning you'll have a good selection.
 
It's so good to see charjohncarter, rogue_designer and kathytoth.ca joining in.

They are all very good photographers, and it will be interesting to see what they choose from the gallery each week.

Also thanks for the tip on using "My Favorites" for making this easier. Doing it bit by bit and adding to My Favorites throughout the week is the ticket! I went through the whole week's worth of pictures in one sitting last few times I participated in this thread and it took really a long time. Now I have started adding this week's favorites as I look a them so it will be easier to participate in this thread next time.
