i left this one out, and remembered it this morning,

a perfect little image. again, i'm a sucker for this kind of subject. i'm waiting for the gingerbread house and the trail of breadcrumbs. on top of that it's got all the things a technical eye wouid like. lines, tones, balance, patterns. well done.

and paul, yeah, i don't know what to call it either. i'd like to say it's hopeful, as i read it backwards from the nazis and the klan to the menorah.

I'm late this week, but still have picks. Many have shown up already, and I will still post them as they were what I picked even if I'm a day behind.

Here we go:

bobbyrab, great tones, and perfect timing with the couple as they move up the path into the mist.

x-ray, a timeless shot that's what's sad about it. The composition of this one appealed to me with the guys in the bedsheets saluting between their burning symbols.

After that one a little beauty is in order, so two from Pete Chipman:

Form, beauty, action and humor in nature.

That's all for this week.

Wow, I am feeling very humbled by the many mentions that I have received this week, especially the comments OurManInTangier has so kindly made. It means so much to me to receive critique on my work (good and bad) as this is the only way I will learn to improve, and I still have a great deal to improve upon! Thank you everyone!

Thanks to Ferider, hteasley, Simon, Porktaco and Semrich for the kind mentions. It's always such a pleasure to view the amount of great work that appears on here in the space of a week.

Beautiful, nice soft does show the nice glow and shows how great a photo can be soft and muted.

Thanks to all who have posted pictures this week - another inspiring and varied collection. The range from documentary work on the modern Nazi to the beauty in some of the other pictures is fantastic.

I simply have to mention Luiman's picture and the ones nearby in his gallery - what lovely pictures they are.

I also want to say thanks, and I've had this thought for a few weeks, to Leica M2 Fan for his tireless support of this thread, for the time he puts in to look at other people's work and to offer constructive and positive comment. A real example of tireless, consistent and unselfish care for other people. Thanks.

Mike
