The Lumix L1 is sold at Amazon for USD 799 (new). This seems to be too good to ignore. I'm soooo tempted to buy one at that price. Considering the value of the lens, the body would come for free.

Could someone please bring me back to earth and talk me out of the L1 by telling me why (even at this price) it's not a smart move?

Thanks!

The L1 pricing right now is really attractive ... makes you wonder when the next body in the series will be released.

As for the E3, if their is a God, she will keep it out of my hands and funds out of my reach. As big an un-OM like as it is, it seems to have a music mode that is signing a siren song...

Very tempting. The deal killer for me is the out of camera JPG noise, which can probably be adjusted/"fixed" in raw mode.

Also, the 28 full wide mode has quite a bit of barrel distortion for my preferences, like our P&S Canons, I up a bit from full wide to avoid some of the drastic distortions.

Still tempting!

Panasonic L10 came out last month. BTW I have an L1 and it rocks!!

It even seems to work with Pentax lenses. Have a look at ebay under:
"Lumix DMC-L1 Body W/Pentax 40mm f/2.8 Pankake & Adapter".

Looks great doesn´t it........?

That's one of the great things about the 4/3rds system. The mount is so deep that you can use just about any lens ever made by any manufacturer on it with the proper adapter and not have to worry about sensor plane distance

Ah so tempting, I started my photography with the Oly E500, but put off by the 2x factor >.<
Say nikonwebmaster, why the E3 run rings around other sensors like you said ?
