i like what the camera can do...not so much the slr look...but if there ever is a similarly equipped xe3 then i'll switch.

I was looking at the camera just yesterday. Like the others, I'm very interested in your take on it. If they don't hurry up and come out with the X E3 I may be forced to buy the X100F.

i've used it only a bit and only with the new 50 on it. it fits much more comfortably in the hand than i thought it would...i think a grip (which i have ordered) would make a world of difference (improvement) though. i put a thumb thing that i had around and that seems to fit ok on the body and that helped too. the buttons on the back are small and too easily hit when just holding the camera or walking around. i think the grip will solve that problem. ergonomics aside i like the camera...not sure why but it reminds me of the old cle body. the new 50 fits really nicely on it and makes me want to get the 23 as well. i'm thinking the 27 as an everyday camera/body set-up and the body with new 23/50 as a walkaround kit. i woke up this morning with a new pain in my hand and holding my coffee was a chore.
image wise, i am shooting only jpegs for now till i figure out what i want to do about software...the acros+yellow is very nice to look at and makes me want to improve my editing skills.
i'm in the same boat though as those who are waiting for the new xe3...i might keep the t20 and add the xe3 or trade it for an xe3...the x series is still the one that is made for me.

Looks like a nice camera. I'm glad you like it. I'm not crazy about leaving film yet. Especially without going to full size sensor which is more than I want to spend right now.

But I keep checking with you and others who have gone to some digital, especially those who are keeping film. I may yet make the leap to digital, and I really like my Fujica film cameras, so a leap to Fuji digital would seem natural.

There's a pretty interesting article on the Photo Fundamentalist website that compares the new XT2's 24 MP X-Trans III sensor to the full frame Sony A7 24 MP Bayer sensor. (The XT2 and the XT20 both have the same sensor.) The Fuji had the 56mm f1.2 Fujinon lens, the Sony used the Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8 lens. The conclusions were interesting. The APS-C Fuji matched image quality to the full frame Sony all through the test. That the new sensor matches a full frame in quality interests me. Too bad this is tax month and I'm in no condition to even think about buying a new camera.
