Last pinhole shot from the recent trip to California.

General Sherman, Giant Sequoia
I tried and tried to do this tree justice, but just couldn't. This pinhole was my best shot.
6x9 pinhole camera made from graflex xl parts.

Fascinatin' stuff, Steve...obviously a good amount of stuff involved for setting up a shot.

How long did it take to build the camera?

It took months of hiding and waiting for the parts to come up on ebay. Those xl extentions don't come up very often. I needed 2 for the camera and one for parts. Then I needed a graflok back that fit the xl.
The lensboard is a piece of aluminum cut down and fitted by the tooling guys at my work. The cold shoe is from parts in a used camera store. The tripod mount is a bit of aluminum with the right hole added.

It's neat, but perhaps more effort than it was worth. I've got a great pinhole camera made from an old 6x9 folder that does very well.
