NYT has a paywall, so I couldn't read that article, and be careful if you click on the Blind-Magazine link and accidentally hit the back button, it then too has a paywall.
I was able to read the Blind-Magazine piece, he sounds like a fascinating, talented guy. Who did really interesting work.

Sad to learn of his death. Was a student in a class that he taught at Apeiron in the 60's in upstate N.Y.

@maigo thank you for posting that video. I'm an admitted neanderthal when it comes to photography, but, being born in NJ I had to watch it.
Kind of makes me wish I'd taken a photography class at least once in my life. I don't think I have the patience to spend that much time taking a photo and making a print.
